Children’s Church has been fundraising to support Toilet Twinning.

We needed to raise £60 by World Toilet Day on the 19th November to be able to twin one of our lovely new toilets  and help those in desperate poverty to have access to a proper latrine, clean water and the information they need to be healthy.

We started out with a Cake Sale
The children raised a fabulous £107!!
by making and selling ‘toilet themed’ cakes!
Having already beaten our initial £60 target
we then decided to try to raise a total of £120 to twin two toilets.
So, next we ran a Toilet Quiz.
For an entry fee of £1 everyone had the chance to win an amazing prize – a Toilet Twinning Toilet Roll!!
The prize went to Emma for her winning high score of 13 out of 15!!
In total from the cake sale and the quiz – and a few very kind donations –
the children have raised a massive
This will go towards twinning our toilets to support the building of safe and clean toilets in countries that lack proper sanitation.
This is a fantastic result and we can all agree that
the children were brilliant!!
With Jesus, the ordinary can be made extraordinary!
Remembrance Day 11th November 2018
To mark the 100th Anniversary of the end of World War One
the Children made poppies out of tissue and covered the 100.

Every Sunday, apart from the last one of the month, our 4-8 year olds take part in our Children’s Church; an informal craft and fun session where our younger children can learn about and explore God and Christianity in a relaxed way.

We cover a wide range of subjects, often following the readings of a particular Sunday. We have also worked on some extra studies about Saints Days, and wider subjects in the religious calendar.

Sometimes we make up little plays, performances and prayers, which the children really enjoy performing for the congregation at the end of service.

Our children have shown their artistic sides with their many wonderful craft creations, and take great pleasure in displaying their handiworks to the congregation at the end of the service. We all especially like to get messy with glue and glitter, and to make sure that Arthur shares in the mess too!

Our young children learn so much through expressing themselves in a creative way, and we all have a lot of fun!
